Overview

We’re representing a well-established mortgage lender seeking a Capital Markets Manager to oversee all facets of pricing, hedging, pipeline management, and product innovation.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring market competitiveness, profitability, and flawless execution across all retail secondary marketing functions. The ideal candidate combines analytical precision with leadership experience and thrives in a fast-moving, data-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily pricing, margin management, and rate sheet distribution to align with market movements and corporate profitability goals.

  • Manage lock desk operations, ensuring accurate pricing, timely locks, extensions, and adherence to investor and company guidelines.

  • Partner with capital markets advisors to monitor hedge positions, interest rate exposure, and execute best-execution trades.

  • Lead investor relationships, loan sales, and pooling activities to ensure efficient and compliant delivery.

  • Develop and enhance mortgage product offerings in collaboration with sales, operations, and compliance.

  • Evaluate market conditions and competitive pricing to drive informed adjustments and product strategies.

  • Manage a team within the Secondary Marketing department, providing guidance, training, and performance coaching.

  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Operations to streamline reporting, analytics, and secondary execution.

Job requirements

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of mortgage industry experience with a focus on Capital Markets.

  • Minimum of 4-5 direct reports within the last two years.

  • Deep understanding of pipeline management, hedging, and investor delivery.

  • Expertise with Optimal Blue (or similar PPE) and LOS systems such as Encompass.

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to interpret market trends.

  • Proven leadership experience managing staff and collaborating across departments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
