Job description

Loan Partner / Loan Officer Assistant (Remote – Austin, TX)

Competitive Base + Bonuses | Full Benefits | Growth Opportunity

We’re seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Loan Partner / Loan Officer Assistant to support a growing mortgage team based in Austin, Texas. This position plays a critical role in partnering directly with Loan Officers to manage client relationships, coordinate loan files, and ensure an exceptional borrower experience from application through closing.

While there will be processing components, this role is heavily focused on loan partnership, communication, and client management — ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being the operational backbone of a high-performing mortgage team.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the right hand to the Loan Officers, managing key milestones of each loan file and maintaining consistent communication with borrowers, realtors, and third parties.

  • Support the Loan Officers in gathering and verifying borrower documentation, ensuring a complete and accurate loan package for Underwriting.

  • Maintain control and visibility over active loan pipelines—tracking key dates for approvals, appraisals, and closings to ensure all deadlines are met.

  • Proactively identify potential issues and communicate solutions to prevent last-minute delays.

  • Order and track all necessary third-party services such as appraisals, verifications, and title work.

  • Submit and follow up on all conditions required to move files efficiently through the approval and closing process.

  • Deliver a complete, compliant, and well-documented file to Closing within company timelines.

  • Provide exceptional service to borrowers and business partners by keeping all parties informed and supported throughout the loan process.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 3+ years of recent residential mortgage experience, ideally in a Loan Officer Assistant or Loan Partner capacity (processing background strongly preferred).

  • Deep understanding of conventional, FHA, and VA loan products and documentation requirements.

  • Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering white-glove customer service.

  • Excellent time management, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in LOS systems (Encompass preferred), credit verification tools, and standard mortgage technology.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary plus performance bonuses

  • Full medical, dental, and vision benefits

  • 401(k) participation

  • Growth opportunities within a supportive, performance-driven culture
