Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant | Full-Time | Remote

About the Role
Our client, a well-established and reputable mortgage lender, is seeking an experienced Loan Officer Assistant to support a high-producing originator. This position requires a sharp, organized professional who understands the end-to-end loan process and takes initiative to ensure every borrower and agent has a smooth experience from start to finish.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving environment, communicates proactively, and takes pride in accuracy, timeliness, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage active loan pipelines and assist Loan Officer in structuring, packaging, and submitting files

  • Collect borrower documentation and prepare complete applications for processing and underwriting

  • Track key milestones to ensure all deadlines are met for closing

  • Maintain consistent communication with borrowers, agents, title companies, and internal staff

  • Review AUS findings (DU/LP) and help resolve conditions

  • Coordinate with processors and underwriters to maintain loan file integrity

  • Provide superior customer service with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail

Job requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of recent residential mortgage experience (required)

  • Must have current experience within the retail lending channel (past 12 months)

  • Working knowledge of Fannie/Freddie, FHA, VA, and other investor guidelines

  • Proficient in Encompass

  • Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills

  • Positive, dependable, and self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset

Due to workflow and collaboration requirements, candidates must reside within the Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zones.
