Job description

We represent a multi-state residential mortgage company seeking a skilled Encompass LOS Administrator to serve as their sole system expert. This is a high-ownership role — you are the Encompass administrator. You will have direct access to leadership and a clear lane to do your best work.

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. Intake, prioritization, and governance of system work is managed by the COO and VP of Operations — so you can stay focused on execution, not politics.

What You'll Do

The role is roughly 55% architecture and design, 45% support and troubleshooting.

Architecture & Design (55%)

  • Design and build workflows, business rules, input forms, fee templates, and custom fields that support loan operations

  • Evaluate and implement system improvements as the business evolves

  • Manage integrations with third-party services within Encompass

  • Document configurations, changes, and system standards

Support & Troubleshooting (45%)

  • Resolve Encompass system issues escalated from the help desk (password resets and basic access are handled separately — you're working on real problems)

  • Manage user roles and permissions

  • Train and support staff on system changes and new functionality

  • Partner with operations and compliance to keep configurations current with regulatory requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Proven hands-on Encompass configuration experience — you've built the rules and workflows yourself

  • Experience at a direct residential mortgage lender — you understand how the system supports an actual loan cycle

  • Comfortable as a sole administrator — you don't need a team around you to get things done

  • Strong communicator who can work directly with executive leadership

Preferred

  • Experience with Encompass Business Rules, Custom Forms, input form configuration, and fee management

  • Familiarity with Encompass integrations and third-party service ordering

Job requirements

  • 3+ years of Encompass Administrator experience (Required)

  • 3+ years of Mortgage Industry experience (Required)

  • Experience with Optimal Blue, Mavent, Doc Magic, Customer Connect, and/or TPO Connect (Preferred)
